Eat.Yoga.Drink (EYD) is an innovative concept established by yogi Erin Sonn which offers traditional vinyasa flow yoga in nontraditional spaces. Instead of a practicing in a typical yoga studio, EYD holds classes in a wide range of spaces - from brew pubs and vineyards to public parks and baseball fields. Erin's goal is to make the experience accessible and fun for everybody. But EYD is more than just yoga, it is also a way to engage with the community, meet new friends, experience different venues and to clear your mind.

Thanksgiving 2018 Eat.Yoga.Drink will take the fun on the road and travel to Guanacaste, Costa Rica for a completely untraditional spin on the traditional holiday. This immersive one week program will introduce you to the culture, activities and people in and around Tamarindo on the stunning pacific coast.

Start each morning with a sun salutation at your beachside hotel before embarking on a fascinating new adventure every day. A variety of options for activities for families, individuals, kids-only and adults-only. We encourage everyone to reach outside of their comfort zone and try something new together - or not!

  • Hit the waves for a surf lesson with a former champion surfer on world famous Playa Grande.

  • Explore the waters around the pristine Catalinas Islands on a diving adventure in search of octopus, sharks, eel and an abundance of colorful fish.

  • Visit some of the dozens of beaches in the area, each with their own character, on an off-roading ATV adventure.

  • Unleash your inner superman as you careen over the treetops on a thrilling zipline adventure.

  • Search for wildlife such as the colorful motmots, agoutis, coatis, iguanas, and howler monkeys and see iconic Costa Rican species such as toucans, sloth, macaws, capuchin monkeys and more at a wildlife rescue center.

  • Savor an untraditional beachside Thanksgiving dinner with family and new friends and participate in a friendly beach games tournament.

  • Delight in watching your kids participate in a soccer game with local kids at the town soccer field while developing their Spanish skills.

  • Test your limits on single track mountain bike and hiking trails with jaw-dropping ocean and mountain views.

  • Improve your yoga practice and sample local brews and cuisine at popular area bars, restaurants, and other untraditional spaces where you will have an opportunity to get to know many of the locals who call this slice of paradise home.

A full itinerary will be available soon. If interested in this exciting opportunity, contact Erin Sonn at EYD or Debra Eliezer at The Joop Files to receive further details. Our goal is to create a fun and immersive experience to share amongst your immediate family and other travelers with a balance of group and individual activities. As we put the finishing touches on our program let us know of your interest! We hope you and your family will join us for a fun and action-packed (but also relaxing) adventure!
